Generation 1 Summary
Generation 1 begins with our founder, Anna Arendelle, heir to her late parents’ public relations firm. Alongside her best friend Tina Bell—who, like Anna, has also lost her parents—she moves to Willow Creek to start a new life.
One day, Anna meets Hans Isles, a charming investor. The two fall fast and hard, and within a week, they’re engaged.
Tina, wary of the whirlwind romance, has her doubts about Hans but chooses not to interfere.
While Anna is away in Sulani with Hans to prepare for their wedding, Tina meets Sven Gael in Newcrest.
She quickly becomes close to both Sven and his best friend, Kristoff Woods. Soon after, Tina and Sven begin dating.
Back in Sulani, Hans crosses paths with his childhood friend, Vanessa Hartfield. He lies about being single, and the two rekindle their connection, spending a steamy night together.
At the wedding, Hans stuns everyone by leaving Anna at the altar. The fallout is immediate and total: Anna cuts all ties with him. Neither Anna nor Vanessa are aware of each other’s involvement with Hans.
A month later, Anna discovers she’s pregnant with Hans’ child. She chooses to keep the baby and raise it on her own.
Tina eventually goes steady with Sven, and when Kristoff and Sven learn of Anna’s pregnancy, they invite Anna and Tina to move in with them to help support her.
Anna gives birth to a baby boy named Flynn. Not long after, Tina and Sven get married and move out. Anna and Kristoff, growing closer through the years, begin to develop a deeper bond.
Meanwhile, Hans marries Vanessa, who poses as a successful businesswoman. In truth, she’s been using her estranged father’s wealth to maintain a lavish lifestyle after fleeing an abusive stepmother in her teens.

At this point, Flynn, now old enough to understand, realizes Kristoff isn’t his biological father. He’s devastated.
Over time, Flynn comes to accept the truth. Together with his family and friends, he attends Hans’ wake.
At the wake, Vanessa reunites with her estranged father. She moves to Newcrest with him to begin a new chapter. Shortly after, she gives birth to her daughter, Heather.
Meanwhile, Anna’s old family friend, Olaf Whitman, relocates to Newcrest with his twin sons, Ben and Zach, after the passing of his wife.
